Sleepwalking. It is characterized by the existence of repeated episodes during sleep engines.
Sleepwalking is a sleep disorder that sometimes is best known for his treatment in literary fiction and film, which by its impact and effect on the population. And is that sleepwalking behavior is at least surprising. You can sit in bed and perform repetitive movements such as eye rubbing, or fondling clothes. You can get out of bed and walk around the room or house, with eyes open and with the alert level sufficient to avoid objects in its path.

The essential feature of sleepwalking, ultimately, is the existence of repeated episodes of complex motor behaviors that are initiated during sleep. Cognitive functioning of sleepwalking and judgment are very upset. This disorder usually occurs during stage IV non-REM sleep, the deepest stage of sleep, when the person is asleep.

In children.
Sleepwalking is more common among children, which manifests itself in a quiet way that does not entail any serious consequences for the sufferer and tends to disappear with age. This problem reaches its highest frequency at age 11.

It is estimated that 40% of people have had in their childhood a sleepwalking episode, according to the Spanish Association of Sleep (Asenarco), but few are sleepwalking into adulthood. The vast majority of the time is given in healthy children and not worrying as naturally disappears as the child grows around 12 or 15 years. This suggests to sleep experts who may be related to the actual development of the individual.

Thus, both night terrors and sleepwalking may reflect growth stages in which the brain is still immature and, therefore, the child has difficulty completely out of deep sleep and wake, producing a wake that could be considered incomplete.

Facing the placid sleepwalking children, the adult does carry a problem behavior, and that often accompanies strenuous physical or violent behavior that may cause harm to the person who has it. While sleepwalking child does not usually remember any of the dreams that have accompanied the sleepwalking, adults do tend to remember the content of their dreams and these are sometimes violent nature. They dream of extreme situations that invite escape and, therefore, are awakened abruptly.

Allergies and mites. There are materials and products on the market that reduce the break allergic reactions.
Hygiene, both personal and environmental health also includes the place of rest. It is important to give due importance because adequate rest hygiene will prevent a large number of developing allergic reactions. In fact, one in five Spanish, about 8 million people, suffer from an allergy, according to the Spanish Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology. Following pollen, dust mites are the most common allergens which are nested beneath the first layer of the mattress.

Another study conducted this organization found that between 10 and 30% of the Spanish population was hypersensitive allergic to dust mites. These allergens feed on human skin, the scales, namely, that a person loses a daily basis, so are usually found in the beds. Appear, especially with warm temperatures, around 20 ° C, and humidity environments. Therefore, the mites are more common in coastal areas. In addition, their concentration in homes increases during times of seasonal change, such as spring or fall.

The highest incidence of allergies occurs during childhood and youth. For this reason, parents of children allergic to mites should take certain precautions to improve the quality of life of their children.

Caring for resting place.
In Spain, the cleaning is to change the bed sheets regularly and eventually put on the mattress mite protectors. In other countries, there is greater concern about this issue, since there is a clear relationship between hygiene at halftime and allergic processes. In this sense, any innovation that aims to minimize the effect of the factors causing allergy becomes critical. Pikolin, in the continuing effort to ensure hygiene at rest, has developed and patented two technologies that seek to minimize such permanent presence of the three sources of health problems on a mattress: bacteria, mites and fungi.

Called Triple Sanifoam ® Barrier ® and consist safe treatments integrated into the design of the upper layers of the mattress, so its effect does not disappear with the passage of time or use, which is totally new and revolutionary in the market break. Other more conventional solutions are the aforementioned type mattress cover mites, which act as a physical barrier between the mattress and the person.
